How often should I wash my car?
We recommend washing your car every two weeks to maintain its appearance and prevent the build-up of harmful substances that could damage its paintwork over time. In winter, you may want to wash your car more frequently as grit/salt can build up quickly.
Do I need to book?
No, you do not need to book. You can drive in and select the service you would like at both locations. Take a look at our opening times here: Longmore Road – Regency Hotel
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and card payments on both sites. We can also take payment via PayPal.
Do you use harsh chemicals?
No, we use only high-quality cleaning agents specifically designed to effectively remove dirt and grime without causing any harm to your car’s finish.
Do you offer trade packages?
We are able to offer packages for traders, speak to our team onsite or give us a call to find out more
Can you remove dog hair?
Yes, we use different methods and pet hair tools to remove the hair, but this isn’t included in your standard valets, we charge an additional fee for clearing dog hair which is a more time consuming task.

After you've washed the seats, will they be wet?
Yes, they will remain slightly damp, although we will provide seat covers for free to allow you to drive straight away. Depending on the weather, it can take up to 24-48 hours to fully dry.
Do you work in the rain?
Yes, we operate as normal and we are happy to go ahead if you are. As long as it’s not excessively bad weather, our car washes will be open so it is up to you if you would like to go ahead.
How long does a valet take?
Time taken to complete a valet varies depending on the package chosen and the condition of the vehicle upon arrival.
- Outside only – 20 minutes
- Silver/Gold – 30-45 mins
- Platinum – 1 hour
- Full valet – 2-3 hours (You can leave the car with us and return later in the day)
- Hand Polish/Machine Mopping (We will need the car for the day, it does depend on the type of car – please speak to a staff member for information)
How often should a car be valeted?
In order to keep your car interior fresh and stain-free, we recommend using professional car valeting services at least once every 3 to 4 months.

Our Story
From humble beginnings, Dorjan, started his career as employee in a hand car wash. His passion for cleaning cars and charming customers was obvious and he was quickly promoted to manager then given the opportunity to buy out the business. He did and became the rightful owner of the Hand Car Wash at Regency Hotel in 2015. The business started with just 2 staff members and now has an additional location on Longmore Road, Solihull and 7-8 staff members across both locations.
With ambitions to open additional locations across the West Midlands, the SF Hand Car Wash team is on a mission to keep your cars looking their best!
